Halloween is celebrated on the night of October 31th which is the night before All Saints' Day. It is a traditional festival in the western world, mainly popular in the United States, the British Isles, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and other western countries where the descendants of the Anglo-Saxons gather. At that night, the kids would put on makeups and masks and go door-to-door collecting candy. Halloween is usually associated with the supernatural. The western tradition holds that Halloween is the closest time to the world of ghosts, which is similar to the Hungry Ghost Festival in East Asia and the night of ghosts in Japan.

The theme of all hallows’ evening is ghosts, terrors, and things related to death, magic and monsters. The things usually associated with Halloween are pumpkins, ghosts, ghouls, witches, bats, black cats, owls, elves, zombies, skeletons and demons, and fictional characters such as vampires.

All Saints' Day, like Christmas, is a holiday derived from Christian absorption and reinterpretation of other cultures. The actual date is November 1st.

Halloween Originates in the tradition of the British Celtics, the last day of October, which they believe is the end of summer and the beginning of winter. It is an important sign of the year and is one of the most important festivals, known as "day of the dead," or "ghost day." On this day, the spirits of the dead will leave the underworld and travel around the world. To frighten away evil spirits, the Celtics would wear masks. Many nations in the west have celebration parties on Halloween.

Halloween activities “Trick-or-treat” is One of the main activities of all hallows eve. Dressing up as ghosts, the child rang the neighbor's doorbell door by door, Shouting, "Trick or Treat!" The host family (who may also be in a horror costume) will bring out some sweets, chocolates or small gifts, as well as small change.

The most popular game on Halloween is "biting an apple". In the game, the apples are floated in a basin filled with water, and the children are asked to bite the apples with their mouths without using their hands.

On Halloween, parades are held in many places, where people dress up as various characters and bring simple instruments to play the local music in real time, just like attending a costume party.
